Thank you for presenting info in a form that is readily accessible and doesn’t require me to watch a video! (Don’t get me wrong, videos can be helpful, but sometimes I just want info in less than 5-20 min!!) Is there a rational for when to apply your shadow as an underpainting vs glazing on top of the color? Also any suggestions for shading on white objects?

Hi Linda
As a general rule I follow a simple guideline: Natural light (sunlight or daylight) is warm, and produces a cool shadow. On the other hand artificial light (indoors) tends to be cool, and therefore produces a warm shadow.
